Description
This powder horn was designed specifically for the fur trapper era. It is a polished American Bison horn just like the originals and comes with a simple base of cherry, walnut or even pine. (If you want a specific wood species, put it in the order notes.) The base is held in with low dome brass tacks and has a brass drawer pull for the finial. The plug is an ebony fiddle peg squared off with a hole for a small lanyard so you don’t lose it in the woods. The Mountain Men were lower class working men and if they lost their horn the company might provide one such as this or they could have traded with the local Native Americans for it or made one themselves.
Nothing flashy, just a simple, rugged horn that is historically correct like the other horns in the Frontier Series. Comes with a 1/2 inch leather strap.
