02-397 Cureton English Valved Powder Horn

The English Valved Horn is a perfect accessory for an English Sporting Rifle, a fowling piece of any sort, or for any person who wants a high quality traditionally correct valved powder horn. The horns will typically be from 12 to 14" long, as measured on the bottom curve and about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The horn will be a right hand carry horn. They feature a flared base plug with 8 escutcheon pins around it. The leather carry strap is affixed to the front by a brass “D” Ring. The standard finish for this is highly polished. The adjustable measure will throw up to 100 grains of black powder. Although this valve is ruggedly made, we do not advise loading directly from the powder horn. Always use a separate measure. The valve assembly unscrews from the collar for easy filling.
